New HCTS Course Available

The CHC has launched a third HCTS course in partnership with the Texas Epidemic Public Health Institute (TEPHI) — Strategies to Support Team Well-Being. This free, self-paced course provides in-the-moment tools and frameworks to debrief stressful situations with individuals or teams, promote well-being and enhance team performance.

Highlights from HCLI

The 10th annual Health Communication Leadership Institute (HCLI) emphasized the importance of finding shared values and building relationships in public health and featured diverse sessions, including improv exercises to enhance leadership, empowering leadership principles, and discussions on inclusive communication and health data.

New HCTS Course Available

Health is an important and vast topic, so it’s understandable that individuals hold a variety of beliefs, values and opinions about how to get and stay healthy. This Texas Epidemic Public Health Institute (TEPHI) course will explore various types of conflicting information someone may encounter, from the mostly harmless to the intentionally deceptive, and teach methods to start civil conversations about misunderstood health topics.

New HCTS Course Available

The CHC has launched a new HCTS course focused on health communication with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community. Taught by Dell Medical School's Chris Moreland, M.D., MPH, the course will give you tools, strategies, and knowledge to effectively communicate with Deaf and Hard of Hearing patients.
